THE AMBLE STORY
Amble was born not only as a craft coffee experience, but as a mantra. A mantra to remember to breathe and eliminate the hurry.
Mid 2019 was the genesis. Fuelled by their own brews and the anticipation of what was about to be birthed, Amble began the initial task of the Grumman Olson makeover. Although her earlier years were spent delivering potatoes, she wasn’t showing her age. The team knew she had it in her to carry more than just a few burlap sacks. She had bigger dreams, and so did they. Together, with a few coats of paint, too many trips to the hardware store, and the odd cool down in the Vedder River, that dream began to take shape. The goal was November. With summer behind them the push to finish before Fall’s end was on. The installation of only machines worthy of such a demanding task and a bit future proof plumbing brought them close. The build was nearly finished. Now it was time for Amble to dot their i’s the cross their t’s. With thousands of cups stacked in basements, a few test runs, and some modest predictions they were ready for the storm. So they thought. What happened next was beyond them. An obvious need was just met and everyone knew it. A need for craft coffee, nature, and most importantly community. The people of Chilliwack and beyond began to rally for something that most people didn’t know they needed, and it hasn’t stopped since.
